History & Background

Lijiang Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, was the capital of the Naxi Kingdom for over 800 years. The town features a unique water system with canals flowing through cobblestone streets, traditional Naxi architecture with wooden buildings, and the backdrop of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It was a major stop on the Tea Horse Road.
