History & Background

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, at 5,596m, is the highest peak in Lijiang and sacred to the Naxi people. The mountain range has 13 peaks that resemble a dragon lying in the clouds. The Blue Moon Valley at its base features turquoise pools fed by glacial meltwater. A cable car system takes visitors up to 4,506m.
